My third book, Mucking in the Corners: Unearthing the 1970s Quirkiest Hockey Tales will be released October 27 in Canada and November 24 in the U.S. In contrast to my two previous books, which focused on the histories of different franchises, Mucking in the Corners is a collection of crazy, little-known, jaw-dropping, and often funny stories from the players who have often been forgotten to the sands of time. Journeymen and less-heralded players like Ross Brooks, Hardy Astrom, John Wensink, Don McLeod, Cap Raeder, and Ron Ward are among those who shine brightest in the book. Forgotten teams like the 1975-76 Ottawa Civics and the 1973-74 London Lions are given entire chapters to tell their amazing stories. The only qualification needed to star in this book is a story that has been forgotten or that is so outrageous it needs a new spin for the modern era.
