Whenever I look at this wonderful card of Ron Hextall, a lot of thoughts go through my mind.

The first thing I think about is that this shot may have been taken one-tenth of a second before Hextall blew a basket and decked his teammate who dared challenge his masculinity. Just look at the way Ron’s looking down at that black glove pushing up against the Flyers logo. I fully expect Hextall to just lift his head up, briefly look his teammate in the eye and… WHAM! Down to the ice goes Pokey McPokerson.

The other thought that comes to mind is that Hexy’s teammate is playing the old “Hey, what’s that on your shirt” routine. Either way, the NHL’s all-time leader in penalty minutes by a goaltender does not seem amused, and that is BEFORE his teammate shoves his glove in Hexy’s face.
