Shhhh….

Be very, very quiet. Dave here is taking a little nap. I’m guessing the other players have been courteous enough to let him sleep too because they have obviously moved their game over a couple of feet so as not to disturb his slumber. You can even see the fans in the background looking in the other direction. I think it is really sweet that players and fans would ban together in this beautiful moment just to let Dave snooze.

I don’t really understand why Dave is part of this 1992 “draft pick collection” since he was actually drafted by Calgary in 1988. Dave’s numbers in college hockey were pretty good, including a 36-point season (in 40 games) with Clarkson University in his last amateur season, 1990-91. Not sure if that was because he was taking power naps during games at the time or because he was actually wide awake during games, so I guess we’ll just have to let that mystery live on.
