Today is my son Emmett’s 5th birthday, and for his online birthday party theme, we decided to go with the Avengers. Captain America cupcakes, a Hulk birthday cards, an Avengers lunch box, and he’s also wearing a Captain American t-shirt today. I’m a little out of the loop when it comes to the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe, but from what I understand, Spider-Man makes an appearance in the film. IMDB claims that Tom Holland plays the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the film, but I’ve always wondered why he, or anyone else, for that matter, whether it Tobey Macguire or Andrew Garfield, was offered the role before Mike Modano. I mean, come on, just look at that card. He’s sticking to the boards like his uniform is made of Velcro. If Mike Milbury can climb over the boards to beat some fan with his shoe, this here Mike should have no problem pulling off that trick. Considering his skates are about two feet off the ice, he’s able to leap long distances too. I’ve never seen Mike spew any webs out of his wrists like those other movie Spider-Men, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he could. With super powers like these, I’m not at all surprised the Dallas Stars legend finished his Hall-of-Fame career with 1,374 points and a Stanley Cup.
