I don’t know what it is with 1991-92, but that year had some goofy freakin’ hockey cards. Try to figure this one out. Pavel Bure is featured here sitting on some metal bars on a beach, wearing roller blades (because they were all rage back in the early 90s), apparently signalling his pitcher to throw him a fastball. Why Pavel is playing baseball while wearing roller blades and sitting four feet off the ground, as usual, your guess is as good as mine. The card companies apparently never figured out why these kinds of casual cards are a bad idea, and they kept producing more and more of them throughout the 1990s. In some cases, as we’ve featured before (here and here), there were ENTIRE SETS devoted to these kinds of goofball antics, and trust me when I say NONE of them were even remotely good except for mocking; they were VERY good for that.
