In 1991-92, EVERYONE who even owned a hockey card, had his own hockey card. It got so out of control that players who weren’t even wearing proper hockey uniforms were given cards. You think Upper Deck could have at least waited until Andrew Verner got into an actual NHL game before issuing him his own card, but nooooo. Here he is wearing what looks like an old football uniform with the sleeves cut off and placed over his Edmonton Oilers practice jersey. Why the need to have a goaltender wear a number on his chest? Your guess is as good as mine. Did the coaches really have trouble picking out the goalie from the rest of the players out on the ice? How many goaltenders did the Oilers employ to make it necessary to slap a football jersey on one of them to make him stand out?
Unfortunately for Andrew, he never did get to see action in a NHL game, and this is his one and only major league card.
